Gadobutrol is not metabolised. It is excreted unchanged through the kidneys.
Chemical description
Gadobutrol is a nonionic gadolinium chelate.
Therapeutic characteristics
Gadobutrol is used as a magnetic resonance contrast medium. It is administered intravenously.
Hepatic exposure
Not significant.
Metabolism and pharmacokinetics
Gadobutrol is not metabolised and more than 90% of a dose is excreted in the urine within 12 hours.
